MLC Bike Bus February 16th Lead Schedule

This week when I led the way home on Wednesday I took the bus on the north side of the Broadway Bridge in order to see a rare sight. If you hadn’t heard from the kids, check out what we saw here!

This bird has a wingspan of 6 feet. We didn’t get to see it fly, but were able to see it perched in a tree studying the river. I see these in the sloughs, and when I’m rowing early, early in the morning farther up the Willamette. This is the first time I’ve noticed one so close in to the city.

I might need to add a binoculor mount to my bike next.

Our REI friend James Hetland will be instructing the kids how to belay this Friday, the 20th at noon. Bring your sack lunch if you can’t wait to eat until after our hour long lesson in rock climbing!

The lead schedule is as follows:

  • Mon- NO SCHOOL
  • Tues – A.M. Travis, P.M. Tracy 4:15
  • Wed – A.M. Lisa, P.M. Angela
  • Thurs – A.M. Dallas, P.M. Tracy
  • Fri – A.M. Lisa, P.M. Angela (REI Rock Climbing day!!!)

See you on the bus!
